サンディー海は日本生まれ日本育ちの俳優・ディレクターである。シアトルのコーニッシュ大学で演劇を学び東京に戻ってくる。東京に移住間も無くに大根仁監の「奥田民生になりたいボーイ」で映画俳優のキャリアがキックオフされる。最近ではNHK時代劇わげもんで吉次役を務め、NHK大河ドラマ「いだてん」では話題のヤーコプ役で出演をした。2021年には主役を務める作品、WHOLEとミラーライアーフィルムのPOINTが劇場公開された。2024年にも主演を務める長編映画が劇場公開予定。
ドランクザン・望み（俳優）と共に「nozosandy」を結成してショートフィルムも作っている。マルチカルチャーで育っている二人はその経験を生かした物語をベースにハーフカルチャーの代表として作品作りしている。日本の新時代の二人に乞うご期待を！
Kai is an actor and filmmaker, born and raised in Japan. After training in theatre at Seattle’s Cornish College of the Arts, Kai moved to Tokyo where he kicked off his film career with a supporting role in Hitoshi Ohne’s “Tornado Girl”. He has recently been seen in the NHK 時代劇わげもん as Kichiji and has as a supporting role ヤーコプ in the NHK Taiga series “いだてん”. There will be 2 feature films released in 2024 where Kai plays the lead roles.
Kai also works alongside fellow actor Nozomi de Lencquesaing as a directing duo nozosandy creating films and commercials based on their shared experiences growing up in Japan with a multicultural background.
